JLA

San Francisco-based architecture firm

Known for striking designs and a modern approach, John Lum Architecture wanted a new website to showcase their diverse portfolio. The old website’s one-page scrolling was cumbersome, images took a long time to load, project pages were clunky, old projects misrepresented the work, and the firm’s press coverage was missing.

We overhauled JLA’s site to showcase their best efforts. We worked closely with them to curate photos, eliminate dated projects, and create a more effective layout. The new site features: a fullscreen homepage with select hero images, a concise navigation menu, beautiful project pages with photo galleries, a project recognition section complete with media links, and a playful search function. Other highlights: right-sized images for quick loading, use of “JLA green” in hyperlinks and buttons, and improved site interaction.
